Youth Employment That Works
Jose knows firsthand how hard it can be for young people to find good jobs and build a secure future. That’s why he’s committed to expanding opportunities for youth across Scarborough–Rouge Park — from mentorship programs and skills training to partnerships with local businesses. He will establish a Ward 25 Apprenticeship fund with private employers, unions and trade schools. Leveraging city job grants to incentivize local hires. If elected Jose will donate 7% of his councillors salary back into Ward 25. Those funds will be donated through the United Way Greater Toronto, ensuring every dollar supports local youth and community programs. By investing in our young people today, we secure a stronger, more prosperous tomorrow for everyone.
Mobile & Accessible Healthcare
Healthcare shouldn’t be a privilege tied to where you live or what you earn. As someone who runs a mobile clinic, Jose understands the importance of meeting people where they are. He will fight for expanded community health initiatives that bring care directly into neighbourhoods, so every resident has access to essential services without barriers.
Affordable Housing With Dignity
Too many families in Scarborough are struggling to find safe, affordable housing. Jose believes everyone deserves a place they’re proud to call home. He will advocate for policies that increase affordable housing options, protect renters, landlords and ensure new developments include homes that truly serve local needs, with community discussion and involvement — all while maintaining the character of our neighbourhoods.

Local small businesses are the backbone of Scarborough’s economy. Jose will work to protect these businesses from rising costs and unfair policies, champion initiatives that keep dollars circulating within the community, and support programs that help entrepreneurs grow and hire locally.
